General Manager, Asia Business Unit
Jerry Tsai oversees all of ModusLink’s Asia operations. He leads strategic development, including important investment initiatives for the Business Unit around Automation and Lean.
Jerry has served at ModusLink for the past 17 years, having joined the Company in March 2000 as a production manager. At that time, he oversaw an optical replication facility in Taipei (Taiwan) and later in April 2003, successfully led the setup of the Kunshan site in China. He has also served as Operations Director, leading several major projects such as the ISO certification, Green Partner certification and Continuous Improvement of all North China sites. Jerry also steered the setup of ModusLink’s Suzhou site in 2004, the first Chongqing site in 2010 and another larger Chongqing site in 2011. He moved ahead to assume the position of General Manager for South China operations in July 2011 and subsequently, operations of the Taiwan site, then operations for four sites in North China in the following years. In these capacities, he gained tremendous experience in facility expansion and transformation.
In his current role as General Manager of the Asia BU, Jerry provides tactical direction for a total of eight sites in multiple countries across the APAC region. His key areas of responsibility include business compliance; Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) standards; personnel safety as well as facility security; best practices and operational enhancements; and talent development.
