I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Operations Director will oversee and manage all aspects of operations at our Miami (Doral, FL) location. This position is responsible for the optimal performance of all departments, continuous improvement, quality improvement initiatives, retention and morale, client satisfaction and KPI delivery.

II. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Drive the continuous improvement implementation and culture for the site.
2. Maintain and analyze Distribution and Fulfillment Center key metrics; improve departmental performance measures through use and interpretation of continuous improvement tools.
3. Assist in the preparation of the site’s annual budget based on the forecasting by the company and direction from leadership; achieve optimal performance and expense levels to meet the annual budgetary plan.
4. Oversees uniform application and enforcement of approved operating policies, procedures, practices and methods, in compliance with Company and government regulatory rules and policies.
5. Communicate with clients including addressing areas of concern and business development
6. Manage and coordinate various programs essential to the site procedures (training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, quality, employee involvement, security, etc.) to distribution center supervisors and employees. Audit to ensure standards are being met. Establishes departmental productivity, accuracy, and safety goals, tracking progress toward goals, and communicating progress to employees to achieve breakthrough performance.
7. Maximizes the service, cost and quality performance of the site operations by continually reviewing and improving all aspects of the operations.
8. Ensures operational targets and KPI’s are achieved through effective control, monitoring and review.
9. Drives productivity and performance management

11. Responsible for all risk management on site, including health, safety and environment.

III. MANAGERIAL DUTIES
1. Manages 2 levels of employees.
2. Typical titles of direct reports: Managers.
3. Organize, assign, and evaluate work of other employees.
4. Hire or has major influence in hiring new employees.
5. Write performance reviews.
6. Determine or has major influence regarding salary increases and promotions.
7. Initiate and communicate disciplinary action as required.
8. Demonstrate financial responsibility, including budgeting and forecasting, financial controls, and expenses

IV. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
2. Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
3. 15+ years of broad logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment and supply chain management experience.
4. 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership position with proven track record, including:
a. A demonstrated understanding of how all areas of operations interact and contribute to the business
b. Experience implementing processes and procedures
c. Commercially astute including an understanding of revenue, forecasting, P&Ls etc.
5. Passion for continuous improvement and expertise in Kaizen leadership and Lean principles; Six Sigma or formal Lean training required.
6. Hands on start-up experience required.
7. Strong familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP
8. Data analysis and presentation skills, including familiarity Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point & Project.
9. The ability to: Interact and build relationships with all levels, internally and externally; Work effectively in high pressure/stressful situations
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills across a multi-cultural business
11. Excellent time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
12. Excellent interpersonal skills with a consultative approach and the ability to develop credible relationships with business partners; ability to present a point of view in varied business situations.

V. WORKING CONDITIONS
1. General climate controlled office environment.
2. Exposure to warehouse, distribution and production area working conditions, including moving materials handling equipment (OPT, Forklift and Reach Truck), noise and dust exposure.
3. Low noise level.
4. Prolonged sitting and repetitive motion due to extended computer use.
5. Stress related to conflicting priorities and meeting schedule deadlines.
6. Moderate travel required

VI. PHYSICAL & COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to see, and speak, hear, write, and understand English and Spanish.
2. Sustained attention to detail.
3. Ability to read and analyze data and other written information.
4. Minimal physical exertion.
