  1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Production Supervisor will oversee the production process in the fulfillment department to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of production workers and ensuring that all safety, quality, and production standards are met.

  1. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Coordinate and supervise the activities of production workers to ensure the efficient and timely production of products specifically measuring and achieving UPPH targets.
  2. Monitor production processes to ensure that quality standards are met and that products are produced in accordance with customer requirements.
  3. Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials and supplies are available to support production requirements.
  4. Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
  5. Monitor production performance to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  6. Track changeovers and reduce changeover times targeting zero time lost to changeover.
  7. Train and develop production employees to improve their skills and enhance their productivity.
  8. Ensure the team tracks all hour-by-hour production/downtime and develop mitigation actions to correct non-conformances.
  9. Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, engineering, and quality to ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

III.       NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred.
  2. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a production or fulfillment environment.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of production processes, quality control systems, and safety policies and procedures.
  4. Familiar with daily management (SQDIP), continuous improvement, and changeover reductions.
  5. Experience with ERP systems
  6. Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  7. Strong organizational skills.
  8. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint and other data analysis tools.

 

  1. WORKING CONDITIONS
  1. General climate-controlled office environment/ Warehouse environment.
  2. Prolonged sitting and repetitive motion due to extended computer use.
  3. Stress related to conflicting priorities and meeting schedule deadlines.
  4. Exposure to production, distribution area working conditions, including noise, and dust exposure and lift truck traffic.

 

  1. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Ability to see, and speak, hear, write, and understand English and Spanish.
  2. Sustained attention to detail.
  3. Ability to read and analyze data and other written information.
  4. Average physical exertion required.
