GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for directing operations of the FTZ department to ensure accuracy and compliance, while maintaining a compliant, productive and profitable operation.
Oversight of the full lifecycle of the FTZ product including market growth and compliant administration through innovation and expert FTZ knowledge.
Position reports to VP Operations Americas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Ensure Foreign-Trade Zone Regulatory compliance for operations and new business through FTZ Product Implementations and ongoing operational oversight.
B. Preparation, validation and submission of all daily, quarterly, and annual reports to CBP.
C. Annual Reconciliation Report/Annual System Certification
D. Properly close or “arrive” in-bound bonded movements as they are received to the zone
E. Managed GO (General Order) clock for inbound cargo
F. Submit MDRs (manifest discrepancy reports) as needed
G. Interface with broker, if necessary, to transmit applicabale CBP entries.
H. Create and maintain FTZ Procedures Manual
I. Prepare and submit the FTZ Annual Board Report
J. Confirm inventory reconciliation and conduct root cause analysis for any found discrepancies between the ERP and the ICRS (inventory control recordkeeping system)
K. Represent ModusLink during a CBP Compliance Review, if know in advance.
L. Develop best practices for daily admin to reduce potential reporting errors on CBP forms and reports.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Other duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
A. WFH or general climate-controlled office environment.
B. Moderate travel is required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bachelor’s degree in international logistics, supply chain management, logistics, or a related discipline.
B. Licensed Customs Broker
C. Proven strong knowledge of FTZs
D. Customs experience of minimum 5 years
E. Project management or Quality system experience desired
F. Reporting and analytics plus utilizing Lean methods and tools.
G. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
H. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
