Operations Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

To achieve satisfactory profit levels, schedule attainment and produce quality products of customer requirement while maintaining safe working conditions, good employee relations and morale.

To establish and manage inventory storage to ensure high accuracy of inventory

record, to achieve KPI of inventory management.

To establish and manage workflow to serve internal and external customer, and accurately to ensure better serve to customer.

To improve operations work process for the site, enhance productivity and reduce cost.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage and control overall production and warehouse resources to meet the customer’s demand in time with the lower cost and high efficiency.

Shall take functional leadership and provide advice and participate in the management team meeting as and well required.

As functional leader of the Solution Center, to establish and update functional policies and procedures from time to time and be responsible for the communication and interpretation of the related policies and procedures.

1. Manage department, maintain procedures and workflow to ensure work produced meets or exceeds ModusLink’s and customer’s requirements.
2. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives to drive efficiency and growth.
3. Oversee and mentor department managers and teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
4. Analyze and refine operational processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining high quality standards.
5. Manage budgets for departments and ensure resources are allocated effectively to optimize operational performance.
6. Establish and uphold quality control measures to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
7. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success, and report on performance to senior management.
8. Lead and manage Kaizen events to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
9. Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
10. Ensure all operations are conducted per relevant regulations and company policies.
11. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and operational resilience.

13. Provide proper training for employees of the department to work efficiently.
14. Manage the facility department and maintain the facilities throughout the plant to ensure a good and safe environment.
15. Conduct Employee Annual Reviews under current guidelines and practices.
16. Maintain good employee relations and atmosphere with high standard for safety and housekeeping
    

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree
2. 5 years working experience in production and logistics management in manufactory industry, preferably in fast moving consumer product manufacturing or logistics industry.
3. 5 years working experience in the manager level position
4. Knowledge of production management, logistics management, facility management, and layout design of production and warehouse in manufactory industry.
5. Good verbal and written communication in Thai and English
6. Good command of CI, 5S and lean manufacture
7. Ability to speak, write and understand English
8. Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
9. Knowledge of SAP system
10. Be self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal/communication skills
