With over 20 years of experience in eBusiness and IT, Michel da Silva currently serves as General Manager, eBusiness at ModusLink. He is a seasoned eBusiness leader and oversees the Company’s e-commerce strategy and capabilities across all online channels and business units. This includes driving the growth and success of ModusLink’s ground-breaking Entitlement Management Solution, Poetic™, an enterprise-class application available in the cloud or on-premises which delivers to software publishers, channel providers and end-users a single, centralized portal for the control, use and monetization of software and services, as well as IoT system visibility and monitoring.
Michel also specializes in the areas of content management, product information management (PIM/MDM), omni-channel, and digital marketing. As an e-commerce guru, he takes a creative and flexible approach — always looking for the next opportunity to unlock platform innovation and value-added solutions for ModusLink customers and their end-users. He calls himself a real adapt of the “3rd wave” (i.e. Internet of Things), with a passionate focus on digital transformation.
Prior to his role as General Manager, eBusiness, Michel held the post of Director, Business Group at ModusLink. Before joining the Company, he served in various positions covering e-commerce software, content management technology, digital marketing solutions, and sales and business development, including as Account Executive – Digital Marketing at Adobe; Chief Executive Officer and Partner at Unic bv; Owner of TLLC bv; Senior Account Manager at Mediasurface; Sales Manager Benelux at Intershop Communication AG; Sales Rep at Endeca; and Business Development Manager at GE Access.
