General Manager, Americas
In his role as General Manager, Mike Durrick oversees all of the Americas operations for ModusLink. He leads the business unit’s strategic direction, driving investments and opportunities to expand the Company’s North America footprint.
Mike’s strong leadership in facilities management includes implementing LEAN best practices, better aligning sites and departments, instituting continued process improvements, enhancing customer programs, and of course winning new business.
He brings close to 20 years of supply chain experience to ModusLink, having most recently served as a Senior Manager at FedEx and Vice president of Operations with their subsidiary GENCO (a third-party logistics services provider which was acquired by FedEx in 2015). For the past four years, he ran multiple facilities in the U.S. spanning over three million square feet. He was responsible for facility optimization, vendor management, transportation and logistics, new business development, and had full P&L responsibilities. In the two years that preceded this role at GENCO, he served as General Manager, directing operations, overseeing all support services and spearheading continuous improvement projects. He was honored with the Chairman’s Award for LEAN innovation and truly is a LEAN champion. In addition, he spent 11 years with DHL Supply Chain prior to FedEx, also serving as General Manager and directed all aspects of DHL’s supply chain, including facilities and staffing for five U.S.-based centers.
Mike holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and is well versed in advancing the core elements of the methodology. In addition, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation and Logistics Management from American Public University in West Virginia.
