Chief Executive Officer
John Whitenack serves as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) at ModusLink Corporation.
For more than two decades, John has worked with blue chip/private equity firms within the transportation, automotive, aerospace, and appliance industries across both the OEM and aftermarket segments. He has exemplified outstanding leadership, building a track record of accomplishment for growing companies and creating value. As ModusLink’s COO, John is responsible for all facilities across the globe, driving operational excellence throughout. He is involved in every aspect of operations, with the objective of generating positive outcomes and executing the ELT’s plans for both the organization’s and customers’ benefit.
Prior to ModusLink, John served over the years as President and CEO of various enterprises including a privately-held investment company; Lucas-Milhaupt, a global brazing & metal joining products and services leader; Indiana Tube Corporation, a premium manufacturer specializing in welded, low carbon & HSLA steel tubing; Paradigm Precision, which specializes in the manufacturing of complex fabrication and precision machined components for gas turbine engines; and the Cline company, a leading distributor of industrial hose & hydraulics as well as OEM fabrication and services provider. Earlier in his career, he oversaw GE Accessory Services (as part of GE Aviation, one of the top aircraft engine suppliers) and was responsible for the company’s $300M aftermarket renewal parts business in the Aerospace and Transportation segments.
Before joining the corporate world, John proudly served in the U.S. Army, climbing the ranks to Captain. He earned his degree in Management Studies from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
